bens170 is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
The CARB EO listings and additional information can be found on the CARB website at
Aftermarket, Performance and Add-On Parts, or by calling CARB at (800) 242-4450. I hope this helps.

So, I am also due for my smog..I have a 99.5 F250. I don't believe it came stock with a Catalytic Converter, nor does it have an EGR. I do have a 4" Turbo back, Chip with stacked tuner and intake with carb #. Question is..Can I just roll in to have it smogged or do I have to take the Chip and tuner out??

Thanks in advance.

CA-SMOG question again

Rally Medik,
There should be a decal on the radiator support that will have information on it as to if it has a Catalytic Converter and EGR system or not. This part of the visual inspection. To the best of my knowledge you will have to remove your chip system that is attached to your OBD II plug. The emissions tester has to plug his system in and it goes from the shop computer directly to DMV. I hope this helps and good luck with your emissions test.

Most people I know in cali keep them registered in a different state with no BS smog tests to pass, also it tends to be much cheaper to register in other states.

Having a "fleet" of trucks, my smog guys thing is that he should NOT SEE any sort of programmer, stack, or anything other than stock and EGT probe or the like. When my 02 had the Edge, I put it to stock and tucked it under dash.
Definitely check for the DPF or CAT sticker, and make sure it didn't have one BEFORE you go smog it. Not sure if there was a rhyme or reason the them, I have had 3 with a DPF, a late 99 and an 01 and my 96, my 02 Ex, my 01 F350 and my 02 F350 never had them.
Good Luck!

Just more reasons to not take a job and move to Calf.

And I don't care how good and nice it is. One spoiled
potato in the bag of fries make it all taste bad.
