Christmas in Australia

We've been in Australia since Dec 02, 2011 which has been great. We started in Sydney, did WhitSundays and are currently in Newcastle. Head to Melbourne after Christmas before flying out of Sydney.

I've been keeping my eyes open to spot restored F1's, haven't seen any but have avoided the larger citites pretty much.

Hope all have a great Christmas !

I pickup my tranny inspection cover when I get bzck home in Jan 2012. Looking forward to installing and re-installing the steering column.

Tom

Merry Christmas Tom. I was in Perth for Christmas 1995. BBQd on the beach with friends. It was about 100. Too weird. I hope you enjoy your visit there.

Back Home

We got back from |Aussieland 3 days ago, with above zero weather which was a welcome surprise ! Saw a lot but only a small portion of the country.

Worked on putting the tranny cover in cab yesterday, will try to finish today.

Lexcoe, we stayed in Byron Bay a couple of days, too bad we couldn't hook up. that's a beautifull part of the world you live in ! Where in Canada do yo plan on visiting ?

Back to the work grind in 10 days, so going to try to complete samll projects on the truck , while the weather is warmer.

I spent Christmas day on Aruba. The closest I got to a classic truck was a 1990's Ford ranger. They mainly drive Toyotas in the Caribbean.

It was 88 here in El Cajon yesterday...kinda used to warm weather around the holidays. I plan to make a trip to OZ one of these days, made a lot of Aussie friends here in the States over the years and now it's about time to see how the other half lives.

Carpet on floor completed

Managed to get carpet done on floor, with tranny tunnel cover as well before weather went "normal"; back to -15 C the last couple of days.

Next project will be to install lengthend steering column; and clean up a bit of wiring. Just may get inspected and registered this spring.

Pics to follow.
