You're work is motivating me to convert my 1997 Crewcab F350 PS 2WD as well but I'd like to do it in different stages. At first, I would be swapping my tranny. My question is what did you do for the driveshaft length difference? It's very hard to find a 4wd diesel crewcab with zf5 the is being parted out. Did you have the DS built? Or, do you think I can do away with it with just swapping the front end of the DS with some DS pulled out of a truck with a different cab style?

 

On mine it was an auto trans. I had a friend who totaled his CCLB 4x4 and so I bought the trans, t-case, and driveshafts from him all together (front axle was toast).
I’d either look for one that fits from a wrecked truck, or have one built for you.

I sold the ‘95 three years ago and then it got rolled and totaled out.

 

Man that's sad to hear about the rollover. Thanks for the pictures of the swap though when I did mine last winter this thread was very helpful.

I also had auto transmission and reg cab, driveshafts weren't hard to find. I'd have someone make yours it wont be over 500$
