Wondering if aluminum 5 spoke type 17 inch stock rims from a 2011 superduty will fit on a 2002 superduty, both are 4 x4 trucks, I thought I had read in the past that there was a clearance problem on the front because of the change to coil springs from leaf springs???? hope someone can give me some input on this, Thanks.

 

Yes they will fit, but to get full turning you will need 2" spacers on each wheel.

 

As for full turning do you mean they might rub somewhere when you turn all the way to the right or left??

 

Yes, they'll rub pretty badly with factory tires. You'll need 2 spacers because of the offset the 05-12's have

 

Has anyone experienced this and where will it rub, the front or rear on the frame or what exactly, just trying to get a better grasp if this will work at all without spacers as it seems like an unsafe way to go adding spacers and pricey as well as I checked on ebay and the spacers worth quite alot.
