2003 7.3 strange turbo hissing
I just bought my first power stroke and have a somewhat limited knowledge of the engine. So here we go, it's a 2003 f250 with the 7.3, banks big hoss module, six gun tuner, technicooler, big head wastegate actuator, Power elbow, 4" monster exhaust, transcommand, and billet torque converter.
I had the tuner on level 3 and took of from a green light, not floored, maybe 2/3 throttle. After it hit 2nd gear a loud hissing sound started. And continued
All the way home, and still continues. The sound only happens when I build boost, my gauge reads normal, but there is a loss of power compared to before. I checked all of the couplings and they where all fine. I called banks and they said it was possibly the wastegate sticking open. The truck did sit for quite awhile before I bought it, and they said it could be corrosion built up not allowing it to close. Any thoughts? Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Not too familiar with the Big Head wastegate personally, does it vent to atmosphere is it simply a stronger spring resistance? Wastegate is a possibility but if it works the same as the stocker you cant really hear it.
First impressions were a torn boot, but after you saying you inspected them, I would be pulling the intake tube to look at the compressor wheel and make sure it is not hitting the housing.

What are the temps where you are? Do you still have the EBPV? I suppose it's a possibility it could be sticking since you checked all the boots for the intercooler pipes.
What does it sound like, EBPV engaging sounds kind of like a turbine engine when it engages. Hissing though sounds like a boost leak of sorts still. Have you checked the uppipes going from the manifold to the turbo, as well as the spider mount to the compressor inlet, and checked the intake boots below the spider?
