He is putting the 2014 mustang away for the winter so this will be a daily driver. We are taking an auto restoration class a local tech college so hopefully we will have the body parts done by mid winter.

Brad what do you recommend we put on the panels to protect them prior to being able to paint them? Paint will most likely be later this spring.

more pics of the SAS.

Was that kit you bought for the SAS? Looks nice and complete.

Are you going with full replacement panels(I HOPE)

If so just sand good and use epoxy prime as your base then topcoat.

If doing patch panels........... Do weld thru prime on the backside(of patch and rounding panel) and after welding do everything you can to get to the backside and topcoat with something

Here is a write up I did on bedsides. I am going to do a write up on cab corners shortly

I'll need to fix some rust shortly, complete panels aren't possible for me. I guess I'll make my other car road-worthy so I can do a complete job on the bronco.

No kit but did use bronco grave yard drag link and trac bar but had to customize the both the trac bar itself and the bracket. It would have worked if we had gone up 6" but only going up 4 there was interference.

Not doing full box sides, the kid can't afford them. I already read your write up on the box sides and looking forward to the cab corner read.

Thanks

Love seeing this stuff. My dad and I did the same thing about 5 years ago now to a 93 F150. To this day is still my daily driver. Coming up on 500,000 KMS and runs pretty well still! Needs a few things, but I put er through hell and back and it's never let me down! Can't go wrong with a 300-6! We did the cutouts and new body panels and everything too, they're a pain but if done right are definitely worth it!!

my dad passed away when i was 18 to cancer and I remember my 16th birthday he got me a 1987 Ford Bronco that was the most beautiful thing to me and he did the whole explanation saying he wishes he could have gotten more and a nicer vehicle but to me it was the single greatest thing that had ever happened to me. So I think he will be ecstatic. well done!
