Im trying to organize a new South Florida Group to meet and hold social events. I know we live a bit far from some of the members up near Tallahassee and meeting is a bit far so I though maybe we can set up a group down here and then perhaps in the future we can hold meets with the whole chapter once every 6 months or so and hold a bigger event.

If you are a Florida chapter member and live in the South Florida area and would like to meet feel free to contact me. North florida is gainning momentem with meets and hookups with meets already set up for the end of the month. Unfortunately for us down in south Florida the distance is a bit far so let's link up and make it happen here in the south.

I'm in.. We had a couple of meets down here back in 2005 and 2006, but it was like pulling teeth (only three or four trucks actually showed up).

Where did you have the meets at? One of the biggest hurtles is finding a central enough location, fuel just cost to much for many people to travel to far, and then everyone is working multiple jobs trying to survive. The hardest thing is to find the right location and day that works for everyone. I will do my best to make it, depending on where it is! Lets see who is interested and then pick a location that will equally suit everyone, this should help with participation. No one should have to travel more than an Hr or so, if it's to far they wont come.

 

Two were at Amelia Earhart park and one was at CB Smith park. They were "local" meets.

How wide an area are you trying to covert with the meet?

Markham park works well to cover Dade, Broward, and even collier.

I am in Fort Pierce in St Lucie County, about 2 hrs north of Miami.

 

Looks like you Guy's have at least 4 of you fairly local. Pick a place and time and GTG for a few hrs, take some pics and score the first GTG of the new year! I will try and get there.

 

Looks like we have more fish in the pond... We should wait till we hit about 10 then set up a date...

 

I have a couple other guys that may show up ..They are not members here but have fords ...Also spoke with a friend of mine Doug @GoGo Diesel and hes going to put out a feeler also for me ...As long as there are frosty beverages im in

 

I'm still interested in a Treasure Coast meet Jimbo. I don't trust the mudder to drive much further from the area.
