Find a friend that works at a shop that has ALLDATA. Or find a shop with it and pay them a few bucks to print you out the flow charts for your codes. Follow them precisely and to the point. They will get you to the exact problem every time. Ive diagnosed hundreds of codes in every different make and never had a wrong conclusion. It works, period.

UPDATE
Problem solved! It was the ECM/PCM the whole time. Beware of some of the online rebuilt computers out there, they are not asking the right information. My local parts stores are useless unless you are buying oil and air fresheners. In my case my 1996 F-150 has a 1996 F-250 computer from the factory go figure. If you read the previous conversations you will see I tried a few rebuilt computers with no luck. I emailed CARDONE and gave them all my info but the most important info was the part number on the computer. Most of the other people mainly wanted the truck ID and calibration only. After CARDONE gave me the part number I searched online and AUTOZONE had it in stock for half the price of other parts houses. AUTOZONE said bring it back if I have any problems for full refund. I had to argue with one of the online "rebuilt garbage" guys for 3 months just to get back some of my money and they had the same info I gave CARDONE. My new computer works perfect with no OD blinking and no P0443 code. I did not have to get it re-flashed at a dealer it was good to go with the latest software updates installed. My uneducated guess based on my electronics experience for this problem? I think the VMV gets a purge command so many times over the years that what ever burns out is next to the voltage or ground supply on the circuit board that leads to the transmission module. Thank you for all the help and suggestions
