believe it or not I caught a sand trout with hooks like that we made on the job. i carried a cane pole in the truck that we used when we were doing plumbing near water. when we couldn't find a nail, we tried that.

 

this sounds cool... id bet it would be good fun...

I want to sell this idea maybe for a later G2G, I like the one ya'll have found. But I may not be able to make it, work will determine that.

But my idea, at no cost for renting. My home is on 80 acres and if you cant find parking we will cut down more tree. It would be a blast to have everyone there. And there is alot in the area, water park, lake and rivers. We all love our homes thats what makes us Texans. So think about it guys, check my location on the map out (New Braunfels). I'm down with whatever y'all decide as long as I have nothing planned for that weekend, I'll probably make it.

 

That's a LONG haul from Lubbock...but I have family in the area that we could stop by and visit. August is very HOT in this area! Not sure if you'll every pick the perfect date that's best for family and weather. I'm interested in hearing more info on segmenting the Texas Chapter.

 

I'll be starting the discussion on that one after the first of the year.

 

Great location! I just so happen to be the second closest to it. LOL If it's going to be in the summer then I don't think the date really matters when it pertains to weather. The first week of Aug might be the hottest week of the year though.. Doesn't matter to me though, 100°...106°... not much difference when you have a black truck, with black leather seat, with rusted floorboards (header HEAT!) and no a/c... C'mon little vent windows!!!

I'm looking forward to it!

 

I know how that is, when I was moving my truck to my new statino in WI. I drove it from New Braunfels 1400ish miles north and it was the end of July. Hot Hot Hot Hot Hot lol. But its all in the fun of Ford.

Lets keep my place in mind then and I will see what my schedule says for this years G2G.
