So my wife tells me to order the new shackle for my left/rear spring pack. We are going to get the new pack installed.
Some of you may know, I have fought about a year with trying to remove the pack but the shackle bolt is stuck.
Anyway...I agree and we drop the truck off with the part at our most trusted shop.
They call me the next day and tell me they had issues with removing the bolt itself and had to cut it. So they ordered another but it wold be two days before it arrived.
I trust these guys so I groaned but didn't question it.

Well I got my truck back yesterday afternoon.
Yes they did have issues with the damn bolt as it was seized to the inner sleeve of the bushing.
But once I saw the work order.... I realized the wife had been taking notes...

Replaced IPR tube
re-Torque the injector hold downs and rockers
Cooling system flush and fill
New air a fuel filters
R&R IC boots (All still good so no new ones)
Tranny service, (10K miles early but oh well)
greased up the ball joints
replaced the tie rod ends
alignment
Oil change
Detailed inside and out


These are all things I had been whining about at one time or another that I wanted to get done but just never had the time or equipment.

I'm gonna have a tough time beating that for her this year! And all this time I figured she was just ignoring me.

Quick, go back and edit that and just say you've been listening. For the stuff she had done, there's a good chance she's lurked on here to get some of the info right before talking to the mechanic.

What a wonderful wife. I think you need to get her a new turbo and injectors with a few new tunes. I would think she would love those things.
