I actually might be doing some work on my truck sooner than I thought.My plan was to replace the 472 Caddy with a 302 Ford. However I just bought a 500 Caddy and 400 trans that will be a bolt-in swap. I might do the swap this weekend. When I do, I plan to remove the front sheetmetal. While the front is bare I will make a new pattern for the frame notching.The pattern will be one piece, double sided.
The Caddy I bought had been installed in a Ford truck, not sure of the year,and removed to put a Ford engine back in.My 472 needs a little work, like a valve job, so I will save it to use in a future project.
