Was the sparkplug blowout ever fixed?

In doing some reading on here it looks like the 4.6/5.4/6.8 all suffer from spark plug blowout. In what year was this issue resolved if ever.....?

The blow out problem was supposed to be fixed in 03, but My 03 still had the 3 thread heads on it when I bought it new.
My truck must of been built in late 02 or something...lol

All I know is you will know when it happens. You will hear a heavy compression leak, it will run like crap, and then you pull over to find your COP laying in top of the intake with the spark plug in it. Sucks. It's a 45 min fix and ford charges $400 to do it.
