exhaust manifolds 8BA motor
Are car and truck stock manifolds different on a 8BA motor from1948-1951?
I got a pair from a car (at least that is what I was told) that will not fit on the driver side. The dip stick tube is in the way. They also look like differnet sizes. One is bigger around than the other.
i was just looking for some exhaust manifolds for a 1950 F2 8BA motor.
Is there any economy headers out there??
thanks

Economy headers that don't fit are no bargain. Red's Headers are cheap at half the price..
Yes, there is a difference between car and truck manifolds. Here are pics of a '52 car exhaust. Note also that truck and car oil pans are different, so the dipstick on a car pan will clear the car exhaust manifold. I presently have a car pan on my engine and it cleared the truck exhaust, so I guess it depends which car the pan and/or exhaust came off.
