Fram versus Motorcraft oil filter, Same thing

Hi, took some photo today, I had the Ford Motorcraft and the Fram filter. The main thing that is different from the fleetguard I had from the Inter dealer was the star shape at the inside top of the filter. These sprung engages at the top of the filter housing spring assy.
The rest is exact same. Size, felt seal, height, top clip.

They (Fram, Motorcraft & Navistar) should be identical since they're made on the same assembly line. The Fleetgaurd isn't made by Racor. The way to tell if your getting the right one is the Patent numbers on the bottom; felt ring also on the bottom; and no adapters/new cap on the top end.

Racor (Parker Hannifin) confirmed to me that they sold their filters to Fram. They are the manufacturer for the (OEM) Motorcraft and International filters. I can't imagine that they would be any different.

Maybe filters on a different application...but not the CH9549. It's the exact same as the Racor FL-2016...only the box they're stuffed into is different.
