Hydraulic Clutch issues....again

2004 3.0L Ranger XL 2WD w/manual transmission. So I bled the system to remove the air per everyones advice (thanks again), but there seems to be an even bigger issue. There is a pretty good leak somewhere, but I can't for the life of me find where it is leaking. Put cardboard under the truck, pumped the clutch like a mad man, held the clutch to the floor, pumped some more, and nothing, not a single drop, which leaves me to believe that the problem is somewhere on the inside of the bell housing/transmission. Any suggestions/ideas???

Check the firewall inside andout. It is probably the master cylinder

Or

Or the dreaded slave cylinder on the inside of the transmission. Look at the front of the transmission nearest the engine and you might see some fluid there. If so then it's probably the slave cylinder. This means dropping the transmission.

What color is the fluid? Red would mean the tranny, a light tan would be hydraulic, brown to black would be engine.

It should be same color as brake fluid as thats whats used...if you have a bad slave cylinder to replace/repair it the trans must be removed which is what I believe V8 swim meant...there are a few areas where the lines join other components and would be leaking there...it also could be an internal leak within the clutch cylinder which would give you the issue...Master cylinders can do this too...the fluid is getting by one of the piston seals but not the external seals...Im not certain if the slave at the trans is of the same basic design internally but that could also be doing the same thing...Mine uses fluid too once in a while...yet no leaks whatsoever anywhere...Im still mystified about that.
