converting to 4X4?

I found a short box close to home here for a decent price, I was wondering if anyone has changed one of these over to 4 wheel drive? And whats the best way to do it, get the drive train and fabricate or put the body on another frame.. any ideas what it might fit on, bronco?

Easiest way is to place a front drive axle on 4x4 leaf springs and lift the rear springs. Add a modern motor and trans/T-case on custom mounts and some drive shafts.

Adding a new fame would not give you any benefits over the frame you all ready have. The frame width is basically the same from 61 to 96. You can use a 44 from a 250 up to 77.5 and convert the hubs over to five lug. A F100 axle 66 and up will be a coil spring type and not conductive to a leaf spring swap.
