i am ordering a set of the split efi manifolds for my 84 4.9 inline 6 and putting a holley 4 bbl carb on a offenhauser dual port intake manifold but just thought do i need the egr tube setup like on my stock efi manifold going to the intake? how do i heat the carb?

 

The purpose of EGR is not to heat the carb.. though it will do that to some extent, what you need is a heat riser that connects to the carb filter housing.. which is something you will also need if you live in a northern climate where it gets down near freezing or below.
