I want to install a set of those if I go to RRE this year.

Did you get the bolt on or the weld on?

Since this thread has kinda woke up again. I would just like to add now that I have had the lights for a few months...... They are great!... Alot of wet poorly lit mountain roads around here. I should have done it a long time ago!

On my truck I have the factory wiring, and I modded the switch to where I can run the fogs with just the running lights and high beams. No issues what so ever running the 65w bulbs (check when you get them, I cant recall if they were the 9006 or the 9005)...

My wifes Excursion did not come with the fogs from the factory so hers are run with a heavy wire to the battery thru a relay, and grounded at the lights like the OP's picture shows.

Same set up and hers have no issues as well.

You will get flashed from time to time with the 65 watts, but not as bad as the HID guys get.

1L243 did a great job with the instructions & pics on this thread. The instructions are right on the money with the pics to back it up. This thread stands on it's own but I would like to just add some pics since my 2000 Excursion was a little different from his '99.

I installed the light brackets on the inside edge of the bumper to push the lights further out since the bumper on my 2000 Excursion would have had them sitting further back the way 1L243 installed them. The pics will show what I am talking about - the blue arrows are pointing at this in the 1st picture. In addition I added a couple of 1/2" spacers behend the top mounts just to angle down the bulbs a bit since my setup and lift had the lights angled up a tad too high. All else was the same as outlined be 1L243. Thanks for the tip on the Depo lights - the set I purchased on ebay came with the wire harness & relay.

Looks good I really like mine. It would have made my job easier if I could have found them with the wiring harness and relay. Must be cold in South Dakota!

Hey Rich, would you mind doing a "how-to" thread for the Excursion forum, putting a link to this thread in your post?

It would make a great addition to the Excursion Forum tech folder thread!

Im an electrical idiot what purpose does the relay serve. The only thing I can think of is so it doesn't drain your battery. What relay would I use to do this mod

I was going to restart my own thread, but figured I could revive this one since it is exactly what I am looking to do. Come to find out, I thought I had the harness, but I do not. Since the photos in this tread no longer work, any help would be appreciated. I know I can get a harness off of Ebay for $75, but I figured I could make my own for half of that.

Does anyone know what these two open harness ends might be? I have one on the drivers side that looks to be a temp sensor, and then one under the hood by the battery. I am thinking that one by the battery is where a plug and play harness would go if I could ever find one. The other wire/harness is a mystery to me. The top looks like a coolant temp sensor. I have no idea what that would be for.
