2010 F-250 Securicode location

I've been trying to program the door lock buttons and found out I need the owner's card with the vehicle's default Securicode. The dealer we bought the vehicle from used, did not provide the card (or the remote starter fob, another company vehicle story). Unfortunately, the dealer is in New York and the truck is in Iowa.

Supposedly the code is on the cover of a computer module, located somewhere on/in the vehicle. Does anyone happen to know where that would be on a 2010 F250 Supercab?

Trying to avoid having to get the code pulled at the dealer's as getting reimbursed for that would be tough.

Thanks.

Jim

I think I remember reading about this. Not sure but look behind the glove box toward the outside of the truck. I think there is a sticker there up side down. Not positive but might not be a bad place to start.

It would be on the pcm which is located behind the glove box.

Thanks for clarifying that, I know it was in that general vicinity.

Nothing behind the glovebox but what looks like a large plastic plenum (for the heating system perhaps?) I did manage to figure out how to disengage the glovebox and get it fully open so I had a good look around, but other than some part numbers, nada. No 5 digit number to be found. Didn't see a PCM either unless it's behind or in the plenum/box.

Also looked in the fuse panel in the passenger side kick panel but no 5 digit number there either.

I will go back and look at the manual when I get home. PCM is back there.

Well depending upon gas or diesel I think the best way to view it is going to be thru the engine bay.

Let me know which motor you have and I will try to send a pic so you can see how to take it out. Just a couple of screws.

Usually you can see them without removing but I guess in this case it is behind too much stuff under the dash.

5.4L and it looks like it's mounted in the engine bay on the passenger side of the firewall. At least something is mounted there, a long stretch from the bumper step.

Yes, unhook the engine harness and then two screws to remove it.

Be sure to disconnect the battery before you do it.

That might work if I could actually reach it.

I guess I'll have to live without the keyless entry.

Thanks.

I think the code is also on the side or bottom of the SJM (smart junction box) as well. Might see if you can look at that.
