All Brake Pins Replaced....now what?
#46
Success !!!!
Well......all bled......the answer is 1/2" tubing for anyone that reads this via search.....
As far as fluid, the fluid is 1 month old DOT 3 as the lines were all replaced a few weeks back......next time maybe something else.
Did the old tube bleed into clear container with 1" of fluid thing....popped the cap on the resevoir and had my wife pump the brakes KOER untill it was pissing pure fluid, then had her hold the pedal down, closed her up with a 10mm wrench and had her pump a bit more until the pedal felt good again.
Did some test brakes in the little driveway, then took her around the block....nice and smooth braking, straight now (was pulling slight right) which I would imagine this caliper was wonky for a while, not applying full braking then dragging and heating up etc. My theory was after a hard stop the caliper was not returning to the "open" position and dragging.
Should be good to go on towing tomorrow.
Thanks again for the help.
