I Jinksed Myself last weekend when i said it could be my time tomorrow or next year for a problem with my truck.
Issue:
Last night after work I got in my truck, let the truck go through the sequence after turning on the key, Low oil pressure message comes on and I started my truck. I turned on the heat for the seats and the exterior mirrors and went to pick up my Coworker at another gate at the Plant. I noticed my check engine light on WTF! Truck is running good. I pick up my Buddy and head home. Drop him off at his house and go the last two miles to mine. I do a Vehicle Report and send it off to Sync. This morning I take the truck into my Dealer at 10 am. Just got off of the phone with a service rep. Code thrown is for low fuel pressure. Truck has been with the mechanic for two hours and they do not know what the issue is as of yet. They need more time to figure it out She said.
Oh oh. Keep us informed. Where are you located and what is the build date on your truck? EDIT: I see from your earlier posts that you bought around Labor Day 2010.
Mine came on last Wedensday and started running rough. Took it right to the dealer. Turned out to be the DEF system. They found a TSB # 11-06-02 for a leaking DEF. According to the paperwork they replaced the tank and pump. Running better then new now.
This is low fuel rail pressure, right? There is a pressure sensor before the HPFP but I dobt think it would set a CEL as it warns of the fuel filters aren't delivering enough fuel.
The Code is on the paper work. It turned out to be not a fuel problem but the DEF pump. They got a new pump in on Friday and I picked her up on Saturday. Sunday Morning the Check engine light popped again. This morning I dropped it off first thing. went to IHOP for breakfast with the wife as I was driving back by the dealership they called and said it was ready again. It seems some air was in the system.
Tonight when I get home I will post up the code and what was done. Paperwork is in the truck and I am stuck at work.
Code thrown was a P20E8 (REDUCTANT PRESSURE LOW) A Part Number BC3Z-5J229-k Pump Assembly was removed and replaced. What I was told the DEF Pump went bad. This was the first one they had seen. So anyone else had this code?
Got to drive a Ford Escape for free because of the three days that they had my truck. Nice care as well. issue was small fuel tank and the issue of the right foot liking the power it put out as well.
I have had no problems with my truck up till Sunday. [F350 ccsb lariat.] Stopped to eat at the local Outback. When we went to leave the check engine light came on. Truck has 8200 miles and a build date of 02/11. Still seems to run good with no problem. Besides the light being on do to work schedule cant get the truck to the garage until after Christmas! Dealer is 2.5 hrs away. Local dealers have so so mechanics. Lucky to have a backup plan. Back to 97 F350 with the reliable 7.3 and less then 100k.
I have 14.3K miles on mine and have thrown a couple CEL's. I have a code checker and looked at them and reset, they stayed cleared.
fyi -most auto parts stores will check the codes for free.

Kinda the same thing with my truck. I had run errands in the morning, went to work, moved the truck after the day shift crew left and on start up when it was time to go home there was the light. Side note my truck has seemed to do more regens lately. Around every two hundred miles or so. Fuel Mileage has gone down because of that as well.
Been driving the truck since the cel came on Sunday. To work and back is about 25mi. Made a stop after work and when I started the truck the light was out. Not sure what made it come on or why it went out. Anyone have an idea what may be going on? Thanks

When mine started coming on last spring, it was doing the same thing. It would come on for a few days, and then go off for a few days.
When I got the "flash" to correct this, it has not come on since. I'm interested so see if it will come on this winter again.
