SCT tunes for a truck with head bolts

Im looking at getting some SCT tunes for 05 6.0, my truck is still on the head gaskets and head bolts from the factory, they are in perfect shape at 130k miles no leaks. I was thinking a 65hp daily driver tune and a 40hp tow tune. Anyone with a primarily stock truck running tunes want to chime in? And what company would yall recommend for the tunes?

Thanks

Talk to Matt @ Gearhead Automotive Performance for your tunes. He has a very nice SRL tune that is head bolt safe. He also has a nice tow tune for up to 8k lbs and then an unlimited tow.

His SRL+ tune is not head bolt safe though.

Been running Matt's SRL tune now for a few weeks. I'm also on stock head bolts. I got into it a few times & its night & day compared to stock. EGT's climb fast so make sure you have gauges before you indulge. Blue spring too if your fuel pressure dips under 50.

You will need a fuel pressure gauge to see where you are at. Mine drops down quick when you get on the throttle. Changing it this week. Here is some good reading with pics.........

No idea on a number but night & day if you can turn those words into numbers.
Off his site:
Gearhead Automotive Performance

Trans shifts quick & firm. Almost like a shift kit on steroids when your getting on it.Shifts are right around 2K IIRC.

Do you just leave it in the SRL tune all the time?

You can't leave it he SRL if your towing or got an extremely heavy load in the bed. Then you would use the 8K tow tune or unlimited tow tune for. But other than that I believe its good to go.
