diesel fuel price has dropped

I'm in northeast PA and it went UP. There is an 80 cent spread now. Used to be just a 50 cent difference. Regular unleaded dropped to 3.29, and diesel went up from 3.99 to 4.09. I did find a Sunoco off of 78 tonight that said 3.89 for diesel on the sign, but the pump said 3.99. That was weird.
All other stations that I saw tonight on the trip home said 4.09.

I have the exact same mentality. When they have you by the bag its best to just forget about it and fuel up. Remember the days when diesel was way cheaper than gas? What happened?

Gas exports soar, keeping U.S. price at pump high

Faced with sluggish sales at home, American refineries are shipping gasoline, diesel and other petroleum products abroad in record amounts, turning the country into a net exporter of fuel.
And that's one of the reasons gasoline now costs more than ever before, for this time of year.
In the first nine months of this year, the United States exported 655 million barrels of finished petroleum products, including 121 million barrels of gasoline. At the same time, the country imported 264 million barrels of finished petroleum products, including 32 million barrels of gasoline, according to data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration.
"Instead of that product backing up and depressing prices, it's being sent to other countries," said Tom Kloza, chief oil analyst at the Oil Price Information Service.
