After they couldn't get it out I had to go to an eye surgeon to get it out. I really don't know what was more painful that or when I got battery acid in them.
Damn Kevin, sorry to hear that! I usually wear safety glasses, and a shield, especially when I'm grinding.

During my large hardwood flooing project I always had my safety glasses out at the saws...

The ONE time I didn't put them on because I was just making a quick cut of some shoe molding...man it was close...the shoe molding was rather long and I didn't notice it wasn't sitting flush with the saw so it was slightly elevated off of the saw fence/deck area...well when the saw touched the shoe molding...it "grabbed" it and ripped it into many pieces and I had flying chunks of wood and splinters going everywhere...including one that hit me in the cheek!...thankfully it missed my eye...but there you have it...I am serious when I said I wore the glasses for the 99.999999% of the other cuts I made time and time again...so it just goes to show you that there is no substitute for 100% perfection...I was lucky that's for sure.

I wear ear plugs when grinding to. Once I was grinding in a tight place and a spark bounced into my ear. It hurt like crazy and I couldn't hear very well for a while in that ear. Luckily it got better and didn't burn clear through my ear drum. So now I wear ear plugs and safety glasses.

Steve's post count would be near 200K if there wasn't a 10 character minimum per post...

Hey I have a lot to say in one or two posts versus little to say in hundreds of posts!
