Evening boys. Hopefully the rest of the month is better then today. I had the "pleasure" of having a piece of steel drilled out of my eye. ALWAYS WEAR YOUR SAFETY GLASSES!!!!!!!!!! Hot steel melted into your eye is not fun. It took nearly 5 hours before the doc saw me. Went to the er first and they didn't have the right stuff so the sent me to a lasic place. After they couldn't get it out I had to go to an eye surgeon to get it out. I really don't know what was more painful that or when I got battery acid in them.

During my large hardwood flooing project I always had my safety glasses out at the saws...
The ONE time I didn't put them on because I was just making a quick cut of some shoe molding...man it was close...the shoe molding was rather long and I didn't notice it wasn't sitting flush with the saw so it was slightly elevated off of the saw fence/deck area...well when the saw touched the shoe molding...it "grabbed" it and ripped it into many pieces and I had flying chunks of wood and splinters going everywhere...including one that hit me in the cheek!...thankfully it missed my eye...but there you have it...I am serious when I said I wore the glasses for the 99.999999% of the other cuts I made time and time again...so it just goes to show you that there is no substitute for 100% perfection...I was lucky that's for sure.
