Do it!!!

I've heard http://www.dirtydeedsindustries.com builds some nice vintage Ford pre-runners if you want to go that route too.

Haha, shameless plugs are rad.

You caught me slakkin!! I post up vintage ford pics on facebook real easily from my phone at the push of a button. It takes a little more time to log on and post up here.

So here's my update: I'm sick Minor cold, I could feel it coming on last night working on the truck, just started dragging. I literally fell asleep under the truck while taking measurements. Woke up freezing cold, LOL.

I got in a couple few hours last night and cleaned up the frame rails where the radius arm brackets will go, I tacked on mock up radius arm brackets. I'll need to cut off the driver side and re-do it though, didn't put it on straight. Got passenger side wheel base set and mock up radius arm made.

A lot of people complain of left to right wheel base being different, IDK why?? I'm within a half inch from side to side.

I was sick all day today and had to work, there's a big client coming in on Tuesday so they wanted me to pressure wash the yard.

All this week I've been taking my tools home at night because my carpool has been sick. Well this week I'm sick and will come home from work and sit on the couch. Next chance to work on the truck will be next Fri night.

Here's the pics:

I set it up so that the tire can turn a loooong way before hitting the radius arm. I gave the beams 10* positive caster, even under only the tires weight it self centers, I can't wait to drive it!!

Haha. I wish! My goal is April so I can drive down Cruzin Grand when it opens.

Remember this is just mock up. I have to rake it all apart and do it all over again.

I know, but mock up is the hard part. If you are going to MIG everything it won't take you that long. Not if you decide to TIG it we can add some extra time on there.

Finally had a chance to get back on the truck!! Put in 8 solid hours today. Got driver side mock radius arm built and installed. Got all geometry figured out. Got steering swingers figured out.

Removed front end, not that I think the tires will fit at full bump, will unfortunately have to trim my pretty fenders:

]

Dropped it down to full bump to make sure nothing binds up. All wheel travel cycles smoothly:

The old steering box next to the new:

lot's of room without the steering box in the way anymore:

Also removed the steering column. Going to cut off the rag joint and put in place a stainless universal joint with needle bearings:

Went through couple months ago and removed all wiring that wasn't necessary to run the engine. While I was at it I installed quick connects to the neutral safety switch. Don't have anymore pics of the steering column, will try to get more tomorrow.

Also separated the stock radius arms from stock beams. Will use only 1/3 or so of the stock beam.

So I have most of tomorrow to make more progress. Unfortunately I am running out of parts and haven't had tome to order my heims for the radius arms and beams. I will order them first thing next week. Also, I won't get a chance to work on the truck for possibly 2 weeks I've got a customer that installed 'another' companies Long Travel suspension on his Tundra. Well the quality of the 'kit' is questionable and it doesn't fit right. Since I make Tundra Long Travel suspension and he's seen it in action, I'm installing one of my kits in place of the 'wrong one' Takes time from my truck, but a necessary evil since it pays for my truck

Looks good! The shots without the front sheetmetal really show how wide this thing is gonna be. Hurry up with the tundra so I can get my next fix
