Plasti-dip sprayed my chrome wheels.

Hey guys, Just wanted to throw this out there. I have been wanting black wheels for some time now, just has never been in the budget. I have chrome wheels now that are good from far but far from good. alot of road rash etc from previous owner. my buddy here at work has an 05 f-150 and Plasti-dip sprayed his wheels. He did four coats of the spray can plasti dip. It looks like it came that way. He has already washed them several times and has had them on for a couple of weeks. I did my wheels last wednesday out at the ranch. I let them dry over night and they turned out awesome. I drove through the pasture and on alot of gravel roads and no chips or anything. I watched some you-tube videos of people tking it off the wheels if you decide you dont like it. once you get it started it will peel right off. I dont know how to post pics on here or i would post some pics.

thats funny....2 weeks ago i plasti-dipped my rocker panels. they were chipped from my road and looked like crap. took about 6 coats to get perfect. used about 5.5 cans, but the final result has been impressive. i get a lot of compliments. was going to use bed liner paint, but went this route...and im glad i did. its more than just for tools...

Hot damn that stuff is nice. I was going to have my wheels powder coated black at 25/wheel. Change of plans!

Here's a side by side of my aluminums with and without the Plasti-dip spray.

And a close up of the black one. This is only one coat. There are some runs, but I think I can get rid of that with additional coats. If not, I'll just peel them!
