The regulars here are pretty thick skinned, and we use to do alot of joking around but the mods have tightened the chain on us lately due to us running off newbs that asked stupid questions...

 

They are thinner than than I'm used to if your not a regular...........Did I say that out loud ???

This thread is cracking me up!! I figured it would just go away, considering the original question was to get info before an eBay purchase. I tried for the 4:56s, but they got over $150 so I passed. For the price of 5:13 gears and carriers front and rear, I'm just gonna keep my 3:54s and build a doubler instead.

 

And I'm too lazy to be post whorish, so I just pan handle for rep points now.

Again....sorry for the derail.....at the outset, I was simply offering an opinion based on my experience......but.....we all know that opinions are like.......well you know.
Anyway....new advice.....run what ya got...if it don't work do sumpin else. I've built several rigs with doublers....they work great.

in this forum, abuse is the norm.
other forums though, some of the folks are so thin skinned that they leak all over their keyboards reading the bible.

the 25 post "waiting period" was set up to keep spammers and non contributing people out.
a lot of people will come here strictly to sell, and not contribute to the boards.

I fully understand. I'm old, cynical, and have very thick skin, so all is well in the kingdom of wet dreams of better Fords!

I didn't come looking for sympathy or warm and fuzzy feelings. I joined up because a spark of love for old Fords has blazed up within my loins and there is but one way to satisfy the burning desire.

I hope to gain knowledge, insight, advice, criticism, and guidance for myself as well as making a futile attempt at returning the same, in kind, to others.

One of the lost attributes of today's society is respect. The notion that maybe we don't agree but still respect both others and their opinions, has given way to f*** you, you're a stupid son of a b*****. Sad when you really think about it .
