Where are these components?
Where is the IAC on the engine...I know some of the acronyms but some I do not. Guess I need to buy a manual. I have same problem that just all of a sudden started. Will not stay running at idle when cold but if you keep your foot on the gas so it does not die it runs fine. Once warmed up it is great. Thought it was bad gas because it does not always do this. I did look at all the vacumn lines and elbows and cleaned the sensor in the air cleaner intake and the throttle opening but no fix. Wonder if intake manifold bolts need a check for proper torque....sometimes bolts will get loose when they are constantly going from cold to hot.
Thanks

OK I watched a few youtube vjdeos and went ahead and removed the IAC and cleaned it. I also did the same with the PCV but it seemed fine.
I started the truck right after the cleaning and it did the same start and die routine, twice. I then got out a small hammer and banged on the IAC mostly on the back where the solenoid is located. It then started OK and has been working fine today. Seems with that scenerio that the solenoid is sticking and might mean I need to replace the whole unit. Your Thoughts??
