How do you tell the difference between the intake & exhaust valve?

Well, I think I may have mis-labeled my intake and exhaust valves I took out of my passenger side head. I know on the driver's side, that the exhaust is the forward most of the two valves and I labeled those correctly. On the passenger side I think there's a chance I may have labeled those valves as I took them out in the same pattern (exhaust being the forward most valve), when in reality the intake is the forward of the two on passenger side.

I just am not positive if I labeled them correctly so I'm looking for advice on how to visually tell the difference between the 2 so I can be 100% sure they are going in correctly.

Thanks,
Drake

My first guess would of been that the intake Valve is bigger than the Exhaust Valve. Not that easy.

The intake and exhaust valve heads are the same diameter but the valve seat angles are different. The intake valve has a dimple on it and can also be identified by the P/N stamped on the valve head.
Believe the intake seat angle is 30* and the exhaust is 45*

Is there any way to tell by the numbers stamped on the face of the valve itself? I know they aren't Ford's part # unfortunately.

Intake should be visually larger.

Just Google the valve numbers and see what happens.

I think your idea that the Intake is in the front on the passenger side is correct. If not there would be a right and left hand head.

I got it figured out. On the passenger side, the intake is the forward most valve for each cylinder. On the driver's side, the exhaust is the forward most valve for each cylinder. The exhaust valve is at a 45* angle and the intake is a 30* angle which you can visibly tell the difference by looking at them next to each other.

And intake has a bigger dimple on the flat side of the valve?
