how much do our trucks use on high idle in the mornings? takes 10-15 mins for high idle to kick off usually, think it would use a 1/4 gallon over that time?

since he mentioned cold weather tips.....for you guys up north who need to heat up transmissions before driving (when it's REALLY cold) an easy trick is to put truck in gear and the x-fer case in neutral while you let the truck idle and warm up....it warms up the trans and you are good to go when you hop in.

That combined with a c6, my 120K mile IP/injectors and my van having the aerodynamics of a barn. My only plus is that I have 3.54's instead of 4.10's

True it will work, however fords pump fluid in park, and this can only be safely done in a manual, that auto is going to make some noise when you try to put er' back in park to get that t-case into gear.
