2000 7.3 replaced the ucvh on driver's side (same side as #6). CEL light will come on, engine will stall badly. I'll wait a bit and will start and run fine then the stalling returns. Thought it was a fuel problem because I'd empty the bowl and the truck would start and run fine for a while. I think now it had nothing to do with the fuel. Pins not burned at harness clip, wires not chaffed. HPOP is full and this is the only code it is reading. The IPS appears to be fine, maybe sticky IPR? A friend had a similar problem and the IDM was the culprit.
I would check the wires above the drivers side valve cover. They tend to rub on the valve cover and cause a short to ground. You might need to test from the idm to injectors with a meter. I'll see if I can find the procedure.
