Leather Upholstery & exhaust

Hello All,
The faux leather on the doors of my 2001 escape are peeling slightly, and I was wondering what the best way to repair these is. The material itself seems to be in perfect condition, but has just become separated on one side. Is there a certain bonding material that should be used? Is it even glued down? It appears that it was secured in between the door and the block underneath and may have come out. 2 of the doors are showing this, and I want to try and make my vehicle look a bit better.

Also, while I realize it may make sense to ask this in a separate forum, I wanted just a quick input. I did a search, and couldn't find anything conclusive. Would there be a noticeable improvement in performance/mpg with a new exhaust system? I have found a couple for the range of 300-400$, and they claim to provide 1-2 mpg boost along with 10-20 HP and ~15 ft-lb. Any experience here?

Thanks for the help,
Chad

Escape-city or Escape-central has a topic w pics on how to reattach the door trim, so it can be done. You'd have to do a search.

A handy way to do an internet search is to type site:website.com search terms, but insert your website of interest & the appropriate search terms. Ex: site:ford-trucks.com door trim. Searching this way only returns hits from the site of choice. Also, doing a google image search is often times beneficial.

As for the exhaust, I'd say the mpg claims are bogus. And the computer might not like the change.

simple answer...no. You could in theory replace 100% of the system behind the cat and guess what, the cat is the most restrictive part of the system. Any mfg that claims HP/MPG gains is sputing fraudulent marketing hype.
The oems spend more $ in 1 week testing exhaust systems than 99% of the aftermarket spends in 5 years- in most cases.
