10-4 Tim, that's the one I was thinking of. It's in my documents list and I scroll by the title sometimes. Not much help except to point out the control issue with the dual set-up, Thnx.

IIRC it's a file I got from you (one of many). Got any wiring diagrams for a 2000 escort??? LMAO.

hey did you ever figure out why it was getting extremely hot because mine is doing the same exact thing.

Just took a 15 minute drive. When I got home, the alternator was 170 degrees (too hot to hold my hand on). I know it would have been even hotter on a longer drive and on a hotter day. That said, my alternator has been reliable for a good long time. IMO a hot alternator (too hot to touch) is not uncommon and not necessarily an issue (obviously it depends on how hot it gets).
