I am still shooting for $5, I have to check on price of the smallest yellow envelopes for shipping non-flat items and how much they are about to ship.
Final price came out to $5.50 shipped.

You can read about the origins here, in the original thread that started it all 4 years ago:

Anyway, these zerks make great stocking stuffers for yourself, LOL!

I have been trolling long enough and this looks like a good times to post.

Would also be interested in one of these for my 03.

I have learned a lot here. I am now consumed with making sure my X has the best fluids in her and is in tip top shape at all times.

Hello everyone, I really don't need a pm telling me you sent a check or cash for a fitting, it's been filling up my mail box.

If you want a fitting or multiple just send a check, cash, etc. to Andy Vollert 1509 Academy Ave. Stevens Point, WI 54481

Please include a note with how many you want and your shipping address.

Glad everyone is enjoying them!

What I did was take an old sensor , cut the wires, then drilled and tapped it. No where near as pretty, but it works great!

Why can't you just pump the grease in the hole? Do you use these to help "force" the grease in the chamber/void that the ABS sensor sits in?

Won't gravity get the grease to the bearings? Heat helps gravity a lot with grease.

I don't see the need for these. However, they look goooood!

Help me understand....

I guess it makes it nicer to do, and it does make it a cleaner job.

As you pump the new grease in and if you have a nice tight bearing, the air that you are displacing with grease needs to come out. The easiest place for that air to come out is through the same hole that you are attempting to pump grease into, along with the air is going to be some new grease which make for a messy mess!

There have been different methods that guys have tried at getting the grease in but any form of this tool really does work the best.

Does this eliminate the need to pull the hub and do the needle bearings?

No, this procedure only greases the "non-servicable" bearing inside the hub unit. If you want to repack the needle bearing you would have to remove the hub from the truck.
