Right Rear Caliper Hanging Up
Hi Guys,
Haven't been here much during by busy season trying to make hay while sun was out. I'm having a problem with the right reae caliper. It just started to hang up the other day and I haven't driven the truck since. I opened the bleeder screw and loosened the banjo line to relieve pressure thinking the hose was collapsed...just had to change the front right hose due to this. I'm assuming if the hose was bad openning the bleeder and loosening the banjo line would open the caliper, right? If the caliper stays closed after that I'm guessing the caliper is bad.
The kicker is I did all four wheels with new rotors, calipers and pads about 10 mo/12000 mi ago. Right front hung up on me about 3 weeks ago ended up getting a no cost warranty replacement on the caliper before having to also replace the soft hose.
I had looked into replacing the slide pins as well, but with my early '99 there seems not to be an upgrade.
