Project: Smogie...RacinNdrummins IDI build

IDIT stuff is tough to find. As far oiling goes i think the IDI is pretty good, they should be around 45lbs if everything is good. As far as drain back, punching a few holes in the bottom of the valley pan under the turbo pedestal is recommended, but this may only be an issue on converted NA engines, i think the IDIT has holes for added drainback from the turbo.

I have a fresh built IDI I used NOS full groove mains, I also use 10W30SAE30 weight AMSOIL ACD
With cold start 38psi cold @ idle
Hot like 250F coolant temp it is @ 15psi IDLE
At 3000rpm HOT 43psi
As soon as you give it rpm the pressure never
act's different, always the same.
Easy starter, never use GP always plug her in.
Starts right up every time.
Great running IDI

Ok so the weekends progress...
Did my rear main seal...
Got the clutch in...
Got the tranny in...
And started messing around with the spare sterling... I wanted to convert it to Disc, have the brackets, but it really isnt necessary... I am doing the brakes and changing the pinion seal, but otherwise, ther only reason im swapping it in is for its trash-lok.... and to clean it up a bit.
Anyway... momentum is picking up... more soon...

Small update...
Trac-lok Sterling, new brakes, tuned up...
My Tailshaft housing sans welding, but post machine work...
...
I have the materials coming in for the prototype R&D IC kit, and CAI, so that will be born soon enough, and available shortly after.
I also have the tubing for my driveshaft coming in. I am just going to retube my D50 front driveshaft, and use that. I checked it out, and its no less beefy than the 2pc DS I was using. The math checks out for critical length.
After the Sterling goes in, and I get the DNE2 in, I will fab the traction bars, and install the air bags....
Also have the Water tank to finish up.
More very soon...

I will probably just tie in a shrader valve to begin with, and later down the road, Ill probably put in a leveling valve and tank for fuss free operation.
