Interior Passenger Door Mirror Trim Panel

How is the small triangle shaped interior door panel removed so as to get to the mirror electrical connections? Is it just pried off? This question is for the 2002 Expy.

The mirror connections are behind the main door panel. There are 3 nuts that hold the mirror on behind the triangular panel to remove the complete assembly but you really do need to loosen up the main door panel to properly access. As I recall, yes, it just snaps out but also loosen up and partially remove the main panel to access the electrical connections.
What is the issue? You can also snap the mirror out of it's position to see behind it if necessary.

The issue is the remote is not functioning to move the mirror. I want to see if the electrical mirror connectors are in place and clean. Are you saying the mirror can be snapped out of its position allowing access to the back?

Pry it out near the top, then lift while wiggling it to get it separated from the door panel.

Yes, the mirror itself snaps into position and can be removed carefully. The back mirror panel can then be removed with a slotted screwdriver, releasing several locking points.
