Interior Passenger Door Mirror Trim Panel

The mirror connections are behind the main door panel. There are 3 nuts that hold the mirror on behind the triangular panel to remove the complete assembly but you really do need to loosen up the main door panel to properly access. As I recall, yes, it just snaps out but also loosen up and partially remove the main panel to access the electrical connections.
What is the issue? You can also snap the mirror out of it's position to see behind it if necessary.

Yes, the mirror itself snaps into position and can be removed carefully. The back mirror panel can then be removed with a slotted screwdriver, releasing several locking points.
