Ecoboosters with 3.73 rear end, what MPG are you getting?
I'm looking for some input about "real life" everyday fuel economy from Ecoboost owners with the 3.73 rear end. 4x2 or 4x4 doesn't matter, but I'm not interested in mileage figures while hauling full loads or towing boats, etc., just around town figures please. Thanks in advance!
Well, my truck has been a "problem child" since day one, but as far as MPGs go, I get 14-15 in town, and low 16s on the highway IF I keep it under 70mph. Anything above 70 drops it into the 13-14 range on the highway.
15-18 city and town depending on if its DC or a suburb and if i drive it like i stole it 19 20 hwy should get better when i hit 5k miles on the odometer
i found you get better mileage with premium gas than regular, about 2mpg
so i take it when you first get your eco boost the mileage is kinda not good and gets better after a few miles. What should i be really for??
I will be getting my eco boost with 3.73 in January hope fully sooner!! so i will be getting the "winter" blend of fuel. so that doesnt help the mpg's and i guess some summer with a few miles on it and summer blend I hope to be good to go!!
16.5 average. 4 miles town and 30 miles interstate 70mph to work and back
Wow - under these conditions I get the same gas mileage with my 2003 4x4 Expedition with the old 2-valve Triton 5.4L with 3.73 gears and 120K on the clock. Kinda disappointing...
I'm not kind to my poor truck. Lots of short trips, city driving. Any vehicle I've had has no liked that MPG-wise.
I am currently getting 14.5 under those conditions and I'm really quite happy with that.
Any chance to get on a highway and it jumps back up.
