Proper jet size for autolite 2100

Anybody have any expertize on the autolite 2100 1.08 carb?

Need to know what the ideal jet size is, right now, it is #49.

As far as mods, the engine will have:

EFI ex. manifolds
Offy C
DS2
Smog stuff removed
Maybe a port and polish.

The stock jets are probably going to be fine. Don't change them until you have a chance to run it on your engine and check the AFR by checking the plugs or with a wideband O2 sensor.

Thanks man. I was reading about re jetting the 2100. To go bigger it is a matter of drilling out the jet. Does that sound correct? And, if so, is it easy?

Drilling is probably the worst thing to do unless there are absolutely no other options. Drilling just doesn't enlarge the hole but also alters the beveled surfaces that are engineered into the jet. The results can be totally unsatisfactory.

What BVA said X2. Changing jets, if actually necessary, is the last thing to do in fine tuning a carb.

Thanks for the heads up. The guy I'm getting my carb from will change the jets for free before he ships it. If the #49 jet is ideal I will just leave it then.

Thanks for the help guys.

There are shops that sell Autolite jets if you have to. I've probably got a link somewhere...
