Can anyone identify this hood ornament?

I found this hood ornament a year or so ago, it covers a hole that a previous owner drilled in my hood and I think it looks sort of cool so I'm using it but I can't remember what truck I pulled it off. Any help would be appreciated.

That positively is NOT an Edsel hood ornament as it was a vertical medallion with the E in the center... Its not a 59's fender gunsight either... Those didnt have the long base for one...
To me it appears to be an Olds ornament...55-58 era... Again... Pop it off post the casting numbers on it...

Its very very close to the 47-48 Chevy Fleetline. Elements of Buick too. I cant find it but its gonna drive me nuts til I find out its a bent into an oval Olds hood.

Great scavenger hunt you got goin here!

One place said its a 1954 Buick. You can see it at profimedia.com

1954 Buick Hood Ornament picture | stock photos Profimedia #0001228370 | AH0EAF

or its a 58 Ford as this place says :

I'd like to find more proof but that all I got tonight.

The ornament is not from any Buick, though it looks similar to a 1953 Buick Special w/the inline OHV 8. 1953 Buick Supers and Roadmasters came with the new 'nail head' OHV V8, the hood ornament has a V within it.

1954 Buick emblem is different than 1953, as all have the V and the ornament is a different shape than 1953.

No 1958 Ford had a stand up hood ornament, what it had was a chrome (phony) hood scoop that included a plastic Ford coat of arms emblem.

It's B9A-16850-A .. 1959 Ford optional hood ornament / Marked B9AB-16859-A (ebay seller has the ID number prefix bassackwards, used a 0 in the basic number instead of an 8).
