Can't wait to go
I just finished replacing the starter, starter relay, ignition switch, and ignition tumbler on my 87 F - 150 w/ auto trans. I then go to put the negative lead on the battery and the engine kicks over. What did I do wrong? Please help.

well, i had the same thing happen to me one time, put the neg side on the battery and the starter started spinnin, and the keys were in my pocket.....got back under it and found out the power wire for the starter was grounding out to the body of the starter...you may wanna check that. if not there, then check everything to make sure there are tight connections and no grounding issues. good luck hope this helps
