Editing your thread title

I noticed that some folks mention they can't modify their thread title after they make the first post.

That is true if you just press the edit button. The trick is to go advanced.

Unfortunately for me and a couple others, the go advanced button does not work anymore. BUT...

If you click the edit button the first time, you see the simple edit screen. Instead of clicking go advanced, click the EDIT button below the edit box. It then sends you to the advanced screen where you can edit the title at the top.

Hope I'm making sense...

In rep jail but thanks for the info...Always dislike the thread titles that start with "2004 Excursion" or "I Have a Question"...hard to evaluate in search results.
