05 x Wants Harley Headlights. Options?

I want to swap out my stock headlights for the F250 super duty Harley Davison lights. I know this can be done but the question is; do I go with aftermarket for 190 bucks (MKM Customs) for the set or do I do OEM for 250 buck for just one side?

Any suggestions or opions are greatly appreciated.

I hate it when people say this crap, but you DO get what you pay for in this arena. I have the oem's so I am waaay prejudiced. The aftermarket are cheap, but not the same as the Ford units. Take off your factory and hold an aftermarket one in your hand and you will know there's a difference. The question is how much is that quality worth to you?

I have seen aftermarket ones with no orange reflectors and they were slick! All black!

I agree 100%... I put on OEM Harley D headlight assemblies and I have had no issues... another local X owner put on the aftermarket type and has clouding of the lens plastic.

Go with OEM!!!

I am a firm believer and see it all the time that you get what you pay for. I'd say maybe 10% of the time that saying isn't true, may even be less then that.

M-B-P, tell me about those 07 Super Duty mirrors. Do you have a source for them? I've check around and OEM's are 900 bucks for power and 1600 for power w/retractable. Here again, lots of dough for somethin that aint broke.

Thank again for the info!!

Yea, I know. It's a real good look. For the 375 are they new or used and are they power? Sorry to be nosey.

As a thought on another update; I removed the OEM roof rack. It's looks good, nice and clean but I thought it was missing something. I found roof side rail assembly from a 2010 Expedition EL (131 wheel base). I tacked it on to my Ex w/some tape just to see what it looked like. I think it look pretty good and w/the 08 SD mirrows it reallly would give the truck a nice look. Just thought I'd share it w/you.

They were new, with power and heat, not power telescoping or fold though. Of course they are not OEM but I'm happy with them.

Went with aftermarket (Eagle Eyes) and they fogged up within the first 24 hours. It eventually dried up, but with a cold or humid night, the moisture comes back. When I can get $500 together, OEMs are going in.
Added the aftermarket 05 front bumper... also junk.
