Finished exaust 2 1/2" Headers to tailes

Well after pondering all the great information I received from so many of you on a previous thread, I aproached replacing My mismatched exaust system with some new found wisdom. Even though I would have loved to exit through the running boards, I decided to go all the way to the rear because I was afraid the mufflers I had purchased would be to loud in the cab. IM glad i did with these perticuler mufflers. They are perfect out the rear, throaty but no resonation in the cab, and since I useds slip joints and SS clamps If (or when)I blow out the glasspacks replacing them will be a snap, or changing to different mufflers, and rerouting out thru the running boards is also doable. There are pics In My album if anyone is interested. Once again and always, thank you all for your help, and input. (JIMMY)

Excellent!!

....someday.....I'll be able to get mine routed all the way out the rear. Right now mine dump right in front of the rear axle and the resonance just off of idle is horrible. Of course I have a completely bare cab, no insulation, carpet, or anything so that doesn't help

Nicely done

Jim,
I saw your unassembled pic of your exhaust system in your gallery. I think I'd faint on the spot - Did you put that whole system together yourself? You've got mad skills... I really love that slanted tips look.

Lookin' real nice Jimmy. You did a great job of putting that puzzle together! I, too, really like the slanted tips. Really cool way to finish off the install. Thanks for the pics.

Hey Hkyswm,
You just click on underthebridgejim's name & that will take you to his profile. Go over to right side of his page & down at the bottom he has some albums - just click away.

Muffled reply

Nice work Jimmy !

I decided I too will re-route my tailpipes to rear. What kit did you use ? I have gas tank at rear of truck so will have little clearance over rear axle and tank.

Do you know how hard we use to work to "Blow Out" our glasspacks? - Heating the cherry red then dunking them it oil - pouring diesel fuel into them and lighting it - spraying them with water when they got as hot as possible - All so thst we could get the right "tone"
When they go you'll understand

OH, so thats why they dont bark at Me when I let off the gass. I had read about pouring oil in them in the ol'e days, I guess Ill just have to earn that sound ,the enviornment being messed up the way it is. They still sound real healthy.
