A SET OF MOTOR MOUNTS
That may B it. Thoes motors came in them all 11 yrs.
It should have mechanical linkage. There wuz a lill lever on the firewall...
Go to Bronco Driver mag or classis broncos dot comm. Plenty of DIY builds @ either.

If it's a later model FI engine, there is a difference in the intake plenum height between car and truck engines. You may need to swap that out. No personal experience with it, but I do know of many that had to be changed.

clearence

If you swapped in an EFI,you may want to try an intake from a 1991-1993 Cougar/Thunderbird 5.0 they are made to sit lower. We put in 1991 Tbird engine. it was missing the acc. and bought a mustang complete core for the parts. We used the mustang set up,but I noticed the tbird intake was a good 2 inches lower.(we have it if you may want it) hope this he;lps, scott

Like scarey1 says... you might need another intake.... these bronco hoods are tight... I found that out when I started swapping motors.... For instance... using a stock 302 block you can get a stock intake to fit with a 2bbl, or an edelbrock performer... the lowest model.... but if you have to step up to a performer RPM... hello hood scoop.... or you need a body lift to get the stock hood to close.... I would search craigslist of hit a u pull it yard and try to find another intake and see if the problem is fixed or do a 1" body lift, or a hood scoop or fiberglass hood....

My prob is I'd never get the windshield dropped if I did that (only the body lift will wrk - plus more tricks). 28 yrs ago B4 I got the bronk PO put a '68 car 170 in. IT hits the hood even with the "off set" air cleaner. I'd recommend them to any 1 who has any clearance probs - as a first attempt @ correction. It only adds 1/4 - 1/2 inch but 4 me the YF is still too high. Motor sits on the higher car towers & mounts.

I'll hafta slot another style towers to get the 250 in (add 2" to the 170's deck to get a 250). Others have convinced me to keep the mounts. Originally I wuz gunna 'hard mount' for space savings. That's why the 1st entry wuz "towers n mounts".

I know this thread is old, but I bought a '67 Bronco that a kid put in a 5.0 from an '87 Bronco. 1" body lift and still had hood clearance issues. I removed the intake manifold and plenum and put in both from an '87 Crown Vic., so far so good. Took care of the clearance, still working on vacuum and wiring.
