88 5spd, unplugging from slave cylinder

Trying to unplug this damn thing. It needs a new slave cylinder and I cannot get the line unplugged from the old one at the side of the bellhousing. Book says use a special tool or a screwdriver, pushing in on the female slave cylinder side fitting while pulling out on the line. It ain't working, guide me yeah?

Never had to do it so this is just what I have read here, if you don`t have the little plastic tool then get an adjustable wrench and set it to just fit the pipe. Use the wrench to press the white plastic collar inwards and then withdraw the pipe. Best I can do for you.
