Axle, and PS upgrades

I have went from a HD44 front axle to a Dana 60 with dual piston calipers. Also I installed a Power Steering gear box and pump from a 79. I had to make a small cut in the cross member by the gear box plus add an extra universal a hiem joint for support. At first when installing it, I did not realize the univeral angle was to great causing it to push the gearbox. This eventually caused the 2 lower bolts on the gearbox to break when getting on the freeway. Had enough steering to get back off ok. Installing the extra universal, and added a plate behind the gearbox for support which solved the problem. Now instead of armstrong steeing I can turn it with one finger. Recently replaced drivers floor pan, mount plus front cab corner.
The brakes are really hard to push though. It is a 73 f250 4x4 with the axle out of a 1 ton 76. I put in a new proportioning valve for the disk brakes, but I was wondering if I would change the power booster to something bigger, or turbobooster?

I never could get them stupid automatic chokes to work right so I made a manual choke. Used a choke cable off a old wheel horse lawn tractor. And it dident cost a dime.

I want to do it myself with parts/pieces I create, not anything I have to buy pre-built.
This isn't a dent, but did most of what you're talking about to get everything to fit. Read my text as well. There was a lot work done to get this truck to appear stock. ...while not looking like it was hacked together.

While not all custom, it was a lot of work and involved the precise cutting of a huge hiole in my firewall to install factory AC/heat in my '77

I also made my own tracks to install functional 50/50 buckets with individual center armrests from a 1986 Mercury Grand Marquis (I need to recover them now though).

I then made a three section one piece storage box / shelving unit with doors to fill behind the seats to back of cab that would not hinder seat travel.

I added cruise control making the housing for two mom contact nor off pushbuttons and toggle to control my self installed cruise control.

I have a bad "butt" 2" reciever trailer hitch that is super duty like and it resides under my self made 3/16" steel 8" x 2" channel drop centyer rear bumper and brackets.

Am I on the right track?

of all things I've been doing a bunch of IDI Diesel Swaps... Currently I'm Swapping in a 1986 6.9L IDI Diesel with a 1994 7.3L Factory Turbo and a DNE2 Overdrive on the end of a T189 4 Speed...

Here's a link to my build and a few photos below...

I added cruise control making the housing for two momentary contact normally off pushbuttons and toggle on/off to control my self installed cruise control. The brain box and actuator was one kit of the two (the other one went into a '67 Chevelle SS) I bought at Sears when their local "overstock / outlet / discontinued" store was open in the '80s .... it still works.

I have a 2" reciever trailer hitch that is super duty like and it resides under my self made 3/16" steel 8" x 2" channel drop center rear bumper and brackets .... at the back of the bed which has a 11 gage floor and front wall on top of OEM steel .... and whose rear bed sides are tied into each other for no sway using 1/4"X4" steel bar running across under tailgate.
