Fuel Gauge/ In-tank pump Question.

1988 F150 5.0 EFI Dual Tanks LariatI just remembered I was having an Issue with my Fuel Gauge off and On for about a week or so just before the truck started to pop and fart...and die. The Gauge would Pin itself to beyond " FULL " when there was actually under a 1/2 Tank.- it would stay that way for miles, and then return to its actual reading of around a 1/2.This would be a connection from the sending unit to the dash Gauge ?Would the 'In-Tank Low Pressure Pump' have any association with the reading of the Dash fuel Gauge ? -I mean are they on the same power feed?Because Im wondering if the wacky reading from the Fuel Gauge was an Indication of the wiring failing and the in tank pump acting up with not having consistent fuel pressure to the frame rail pump- ?I hate messin with Gas and electricity.. and a full freakin moon on its way.Lol- seriously.Thanks.
