Good morning Indiana and all of our IN friends!
Busy in here this morning...sorry I'm late!...been to gym, showered and have had my oatmeal and fruit for breakfast...now I've got a few minutes to kill before my NASA phone call...figured I'd say hello to all of you!
Wag,
I totally got your understanding...just watch out though...with your neck all puffed out...you tend to do "stupid things" that likely will get you SHOT!!!...
I talked to the other guy hunting the property I hunt...he scouted yesterday morning in the same area that I have Zoe's blind...he didn't see anything...nothing...although there is great sign in the area...fresh trails all around...but on Saturday morning we'll also have the advantage of others in the neighboring woods helping to "move" the deer too...then you couple that with swollen neck syndrome...and you never know what will walk by!
Zoe and I plan to hunt both Saturday and Sunday...if we don't see anything on Saturday...I may move the blind for the afternoon hunt to the "inside corner" area I've been eyeing for the following weekend hunt. I'm taking off next Wednesday and Thursday to hunt my stands...I've got the woods on Sat, Sun, Wed and Thurs. The other guy...for whatever reason...doesn't want to hunt together...he gave me a somewhat lame excuse...there are 12 acres of woods...I mean we could safely hunt 3 or 4 people there knowing where each other is...the woods is easily 400 yards long from end to end and about 100 yards wide (measurements are only approximations)...but the point is...I don't know why he has an aversion...my one stand is easily 200 yards from where he hunts and the other is 100 yards away...so I would hunt the furthest one...but oh well...we worked it out for me getting 4 days and him 3 even though he is retired!...I'm getting stoked to be able to get back out there with Zoe this weekend...
Hope everyone has a great day today!!!
Joe.

There are much cheaper ways my friend!
Ignoring initial gun costs since I love buying guns...
Bullets are cheap...Zoe's cost $1 apiece and mine about $0.50
Even factoring in the initial gun cost...I bought my 870 shotgun over 20 years ago and I've easily shot 20+ deer with that gun...so the buy in price of ~$400 back then I've got about $20.50 per deer in that gun...
Even Zoe's new gun...I've got about $600 in that...and she already has 1 deer...so we've got $601 per deer in that gun...
a lot less than you per deer!
Joe
