Ford body on dodge (cummins) Frame

I picked up a 91 ram 350 cummins 5 speed cab and chassis standard cab 10' bed drw for 700 bucks. i dont really like the standard cab long bed so i was wondering how much trouble it would be to sit a 73-79 supercab on the frame. i would build a flatbed for it so a bed doesnt have to fit. just wondering if anyone had any thoughts/ ideas about this

If you go to powerblock and look at the Trucks show, they did something very similar. I think a member on here also did it.

It all depends on how competent of a fabber you are and what tools you have at your disposal. I could do it fairly easily, but for some it's a major undertaking.

All it would really be is making new body mount towers off the frame

I would just drop the engine in what you have.

Check out the Trucks tv show project called "Super Dually". Far from a bolt on deal. Lots of fab work. They are doing that swap but with a 73-79 crew cab. Boy did it tick me off when I saw they were swapping the Ford body onto a mopile chassis.

i considered doin this with my truck but instead, on a extended cab powerstroke.. some will agree and some disagree but im shure youl run into the same probles regaurdless what year and brand you use.

body, bed mounts and patching the newer chassi into the ford wireing harness i would think are the biggest obsticles
